
JOINT TEAM CAPTURES ORGANIZED GROUP STEALING MOTORCYCLES IN DILI CAPITAL
A joint team from the National Criminal Investigation Service (SIKN), National Police Intelligence Service (SIPN) through Aranha Oeste, Police Force (FP), together with SNI (National Intelligence Service), conducted surveillance for 3 days and successfully apprehended 9 youths who committed aggravated theft by stealing motorcycles in the capital, Dili.
During the surveillance, the team first secured 4 suspects in the Tasi Tolu area, another 4 in the Caicoli area, and finally captured 1 in the Bebora area.
The team also collected evidence including two black motorbikes without license plates, and three mobile phones (brands: iPhone, Samsung, and Oppo) from the suspects.
In the process of identification, the suspects confessed that the motorcycles were taken from various locations within Dili, such as Taibesse, Tasi Tolu, and some from the Municipality of Covalima. They also stated that some of the evidence had already been sold to other individuals at very low prices.
